Booking & Contract
On confirmation of booking, your contract is with India Escapes. A legally binding contract exists between us when we confirm your tour/travel services and receive the deposit amount.
To confirm your reservation, a minimum 50% advance payment is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before your scheduled travel date.
*For special train journeys (Palace on Wheels, Maharajas’ Express, etc.), peak season (Christmas, New Year, Diwali, Pushkar Fair, Holi), or blackout dates — full payment is required at booking.
Payment Methods
Credit / Debit Card
A 3.5% to 5% payment gateway fee will be applied to the total amount.
Wire Transfer / Bank Transfer
All associated transfer fees are to be borne by the sender.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation charges are calculated on total land package cost and effective from the date we receive written cancellation.
Non-Refundable Items
- •Jungle Safari Tickets
- •Christmas & New Year (20 Dec – 15 Jan)
- •Festival Bookings (Diwali, Holi, Pushkar Fair)
- •Special Train Journeys
Flights & Trains
- •Subject to airline/train policies
- •Full payment at booking
- •Changes/Rebooking: No refund for safaris, trains, flights
Special Case
- •Government Restrictions → Full Credit (Zero Fees)
- •Post-commencement cancellation → No refund for unused services
Responsibilities & Liabilities
Acceptance of Risk
Adventure travel involves inherent risks including injury, illness, wildlife, weather, and limited medical access. You accept full responsibility.
Personal Information
Do not share personal/contact details with guides/drivers (freelancers). India Escapes is not liable for any resulting issues.
Photos & Videos
India Escapes may use trip photos/videos for promotional purposes without compensation.
Conduct & Removal
Disruptive, unsafe, or illegal behavior may result in immediate removal from tour without refund.
Third-Party Services
We do not own hotels, transports, airlines, or local operators. We are not liable for their acts or omissions.
Travel Documents & Insurance
Your responsibility: valid passport, visas, mandatory travel insurance (min. $200,000 medical/repatriation coverage).
All disputes arising out of this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India only.
